ROI and the IT Value Life Cycle
©August 2003, 15 pages |
This report attempts to better understand the methods used by different companies to manage Return on Investment on their information technology projects--from the initial forecasts through post-implementation assessments. Additionally, these methods are placed into an organizational context by also understanding why these organizations perform this type of analysis and what they do with the results. By better understanding how to measure the actual benefits of an IT project, and comparing actual benefits to the projected benefits, financial and IT executives will be better able to develop processes that deliver more consistent and predictable results.
