Inscriptions adorn the granite walls of Gotham Hall. The words of success through wisdom and commerce echo through the halls of this former Greenwich Savings Bank headquarters. Gotham Hall, however, has combined these sentiments in an entirely new, fresh, and exciting way to emerge as one of New York City’s most prominent and prestigious social, corporate, and non-profit event venues.
With the foresight of veteran caterer Simon Auerbacher and the backing of the private investing company Apple Core holdings, Gotham Hall came into being. Although the physical building of Gotham Hall was rich in tradition, the company itself was a newcomer to the event management scene when in the fall of 2002 it hosted its first ever fashion show featuring acclaimed designer Zac Posen. Success seemed inevitable.
In December 2002, Gotham Hall took a three month hiatus to make cosmetic renovations to the jewel-like interior as well as making telecom, electrical and plumbing upgrades to the structure itself. Reopening in February 2003, Gotham Hall was buffed to its full brilliance and ready to entertain.
