The Financial Executives International (FEI) Chicago Chapter is accepting nominations through May 24, 2013 for its annual Chicago CFO of the Year® Awards. The ceremony, which is open to the public, is set for Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile.

To qualify for the award, candidates must be Chief Financial Officers or the equivalent in their organization and have served in their current role for two years, as of March 14, 2013. The candidate and his/her organization must be based in the Chicago area (counties of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will) and all nominations must be validated and endorsed by the nominee and the nominee's Chief Executive Officer. Winners are selected by a committee of independent judges who represent top leadership in Chicago business. This year’s esteemed Judging Panel includes: Cheryl A. Francis (non-voting Chairperson), Co-founder & Co-Chairman, Corporate Leadership Center; William J. Cernugel, Retired CFO, Alberto Culver; John A. Edwardson, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CDW; and Abbie J. Smith, the Boris and Irene Stern Distinguished Service Professor of Accounting of The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

This is the FEI Chicago Chapter’s third annual awards program. Last year’s event drew more than 900 attendees. Five CFOs in five categories were selected as 2012 Chicago CFO of the Year® award recipients and in 2011 four CFOs in four categories were selected.
