Working The Room - Program Description
Have you ever felt uncomfortable walking into a room full of strangers be it a business function or a social gathering? Well you are not alone. However, the need to meet, mingle and make contacts is more important in today's high tech world than ever. People who can talk to other people will succeed. It's a skill that is critical to career success. And if you are in a job search, who you know becomes even more important. Studies show that more than 60% of candidates find their next opportunity through networking. That is pretty amazing considering all of the avenues available to find a job today. So, if people feel most comfortable doing business with people they have met, you need to meet more people!
This fun-filled interactive workshop will help:
- Learn the role attitude plays in networking
- Discover ways to prepare for networking events
- Practice techniques to strike up conversations
- Discover how to remember names
- Try out tips to break in and out of conversations
