KMH LLP was established in August 2002 to be the successor organization of Andersen’s Hawaii operations.  The founding partners, Randy Karns, Ross Murakami and Peter Hanashiro, created KMH based on the belief that Hawaii organizations needed an accounting and business consulting firm with deep skills and the ability to deliver a wide variety of services, yet be unfettered by the increasingly unrealistic financial performance objectives mandated by national accounting firms.  In 2002 and 2003, Alan Yee, Wilcox Choy, Alfred Fernandes and Alton Ohira, all partners with national firm offices in Hawaii, joined KMH LLP as equity partners to help build the firm and solidify the new vision.
