The Washington Policy Update for the Heartland will bring together key business and government leaders who will provide inside-the-beltway insight into the policy questions facing senior financial executives and their companies in the Midwest.
Topics include policy impacts from reigning in the deficit, prospects of fundamental tax reform, and what senior-financial executives need to know about the implementation of the health care and Dodd-Frank financial reform laws.
Keynote Speaker Marc Goldwein, Policy Director, Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget; Senior Policy Analyst, Fiscal Policy Program, New America Foundation will present: View from Washington: U.S. Fiscal and Economic Outlook. Goldwein recently served as Senior Budget Analyst for the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction, better known as the congressional “Super Committee” and also staffed the Bowles-Simpson National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform.
