Private Company Accounting Issues are Stirring Controversy as the People Setting the Standards Have Little Private Company Accounting Experience

Join private company accounting expert Eric Wallace, CPA, as he discusses how the standard makers for current U.S. GAAP show little background in private company accounting. And, yet, the vast majority of companies in some business sectors in the U.S. are private. Wallace will review the hottest issues in accounting for private companies as well as look at efforts to fight non-relevant and costly FASB pronouncements such as FIN 46 or 48. Furthermore, Wallace will review what FASB is doing on other hot-button topics, such as revenue and leases. Now is a critical time for private company accounting standards - and accountants, advisors and finance staff that work with these issues can't afford to be uninformed or silent. There will be time set aside during the presentation for Mr. Wallace to address participant questions sent via e-mail during the program.
