In a live, interactive webcast next Monday, March 12, FASB Chairman Leslie F. Seidman
will present her 2012 Chairman’s Outlook on the FASB
. The event - moderated by Robert W. Stewart, FAF's VP of Communications - will provide the opportunity for viewers to submit questions by email prior to and during the live webcast.
As noted in the FASB's press release issued today, the webcast "will feature a discussion of several agenda projects, including nonprofit accounting and private company initiatives." Presumption: (my assumption, see disclaimer on the right side of this blog) the webcast will also feature (as noted in last year's press release) "updates on top projects and progress on its joint agenda with the International Accounting Standards Board." But it is notable that FASB is placing emphasis on (or at least enhancing visibility of) its attention to nonprofit and private co initiatives in this year's Chairman's Outlook.
