As attendees at FEI's Current Financial Reporting Conference heard a couple of weeks ago, and followers of this blog know, there's a lot of change afoot in the world of financial reporting.

Also, as announced earlier today, SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro is leaving the SEC on Dec. 14, 2012.

And for those of you who thought there's no such thing as a free lunch, there's still time to tune into our webcast at 12 noon ET today on COSO's Exposure Drafts issued this fall (comment deadlineextended to Dec. 4) which will result in a major update to COSO's 1992 Internal Control-Integrated Framework relevant to Sarbox 404 internal control assessments and assessments of internal control under AICPA standards for certain private co engagements.

Read more about these changes in these recent posts:
Don't Miss Webcasts on COSO's EDs (Monday, 11/26 12 noon -1pm ET; if you missed it; watch for our posting of archived webcast; participants on live webcast can earn 1 CPE; no CPE available for archived wecast, but you will have equally valuable learning experience!); What CFOs Want from IT (Tues. 11am ET)
