CBF Writes to EBSA on Electronic Disclosure of Plan Information

3/27/2012
On March 27, 2012, CBF joined several associations in sending a letter to the Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) raising concerns that interim guidance on electronic disclosure does not provide meaningful incentive or make it more feasible for employee benefit plan sponsors to use electronic media instead of paper. The letter also asks EBSA to move forward with guidance that facilitates the use of electronic disclosure as the primary means by which plan information is furnished to plan participants and beneficiaries.
