FLORHAM PARK, N.J., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Financial Executives International (FEI), the preeminent association for financial executives, today announced the election of a new slate of executive officers for the year beginning July 1, 2007.
M. Alexis Dow, member of the board of trustees of the Oregon Health and Science University Medical Group, with over twenty-five years of experience as a CPA and financial professional, was elected to hold the position of chair, after serving as vice chair for the past year. A member of FEI since 1984, Ms. Dow served as a director of Longview Fibre Company, a publicly traded paper manufacturer and timber company, where she chaired the board''s audit committee. Ms. Dow's experience entails a decade-long career at Price Waterhouse and serving as CFO for Copeland Lumber Yards, a multi-state retailer and as a three-term elected auditor for Metro, a regional government. Ms. Dow has undertaken numerous consulting engagements, including initial technical reviewer for the AICPA's Quality Review Program in Oregon. She serves on the audit committees of the Multnomah Athletic Club and the Energy Trust of Oregon.
Additional officers include:
-- George Boyadjis, executive vice president and CFO, secretary and
treasurer of American TeleCare, Inc., in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, will
continue as chair of Financial Executives Research Foundation (FERF),
the non-profit 501(c) (3) research affiliate of FEI. Boyadjis has been
a FERF trustee for five years.
-- Joseph G. DiLorenzo, principal of M/D Group, LLC in Humarock,
Massachusetts, will serve as vice chair of FEI. Prior to M/D Group, he
worked for 18 years with the Boston Celtics, primarily as Chief
Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Administration.
DiLorenzo has been a member of FEI since 1987.
-- Brian B. Ruttencutter, of North Tustin, California, will serve as vice
president at large. Ruttencutter has been a member of FEI since 1989,
and served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Financial Executives
Research Foundation (FERF) from 2004-2006. He is the former President
and CEO of ABC Window Company, Inc.
-- James E. Wall, retired CFO of Core-Mark Holding Company of San
Francisco, California, will serve as Treasurer. Wall was previously
CFO of Memec PLC, and Metricom, Inc.; Treasurer and Controller of
AirTouch Communications, Inc. and Treasurer of Ultramar PLC. Wall has
been a member of FEI since 1992.
-- Gerald R. Urich, director, external reporting and compliance for the
Hershey Company in Hershey, Pennsylvania, will serve as secretary.
Urich previously served on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee
as treasurer and the chair of the Pension & Investment and Budget &
Finance Committees. He has been a member of FEI since 1997, and was
the recent recipient of the 2007 FEI Distinguished Service Award.
