Two members of FEI's Committee on Corporate Reporting (CCR), including CCR Chairman Loretta V. Cangialosi, senior vice president and controller, Pfizer Inc., and CCR member Wally Cooney, vice president - Finance and chief accounting officer, The Washington Post Co., have been named to the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board's (PCAOB's) Standing Advisory Group (SAG).
CCR Vice-Chair Gary R. Kabureck, vice president and chief accounting officer, Xerox Corp., is a continuing member of SAG, and FEI member Denny Beresford, a former chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Board, also continues to serve as a SAG member.
Notable among the other new appointees is former SEC Chairman Richard Breeden.
SAG, which consists of members from a variety of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board's (PCAOB) constituencies -- including auditors, preparers, investors, academics and others -- serves a critical role in advising PCAOB on critical and emerging issues.
In addition, PCAOB seeks input from members of SAG on its standard-setting priorities and proposals.
