Self-study CPE regulations have changed

Due to changes to NASBA standards governing self-study CPE credit, reading general business literature and taking the corresponding exams no longer qualify for CPE credit. To qualify, literature must be “supplements to the instructional materials” of an authorized CPE program. Please see the revised January 2012 NASBA Statement on Standards for CPE Programs, S8-07 for details.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE)
FERFPros courses meet the continuing professional education (CPE) requirements for CPA, CCM, CFE, CFM, CIA, CMA, ACCA, CTP, and EA designations. (May be subject to specific requirements as outlined by the governing body of each designation. Consult the governing body for your professional certification to see if FERFPros Online segments qualify for CPE credits.)

•Internet connection at 56-Kbps or faster recommended.
•Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 6.5 or higher
Although many features function correctly with other browsers,
the SmartPros PEC is designed for Microsoft Internet Explorer. Other browsers are not guaranteed to work correctly.
•Adobe® Flash Player 9 or higher. To obtain the free player download, please visit the Adobe® website.
•Java Virtual Machine (JVM), using either Microsoft® or Sun Microsystem® JVM Microsoft version 1.1.4 Sun Microsystems version 1.4.2_04 - 1.4.2_06, 1.5.0_04

If you are having problems launching courses or viewing course video, please check the following:
1. Test your Flash Player video connection. To do so, go to the connection test page. Report results to admin@smartpros.com.
3. Your computer must be set up to accept session cookies.
4. Make sure your IT Department is not blocking streaming media.
