BRIAN B. RUTTENCUTTER National First Past Chair
Brian B. Ruttencutter currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Cumming Group, Inc., based in Los Angeles, California. Cumming is a national leader in the commercial construction management services industry. From 2005 to 2006, he was President and CEO of ABC Window Company, Inc., a leader in the manufacturing and installation of windows and doors for the new home construction market in Southern California. Prior to that assignment, he was the company’s Chief Financial Officer from 2004 to 2005. Before joining ABC, he served for six years as Vice President, Finance and CFO for Phillips Industries, Inc. in Santa Fe Springs, California, a privately held leader in the manufacturing and distribution of electrical parts for the heavy duty trucking industry. Prior positions included CFO at For Better Living, Inc., (a manufacturer of construction materials), Vice President of Finance and Administration of PBS Building Systems, Inc. (a manufacturer and contractor of modular buildings), and Director of Accounting at Air California (a regional airline).
Mr. Ruttencutter has been a member of Financial Executives International since 1989. Prior to serving as the National Chair, he served as the National Vice Chair and Area Vice President, Area Director at Large, and Area Director for the Western region. He also was a member of the Board of Trustees of FERF as well as the Strategic Planning, Budget and Finance, Nominating, Compensation, Audit, Ethics and Eligibility, Summit Conference and Presidential Search Committees. Mr. Ruttencutter was President of the Orange County Chapter of FEI from 1998 -1999 and is currently serving as a Chapter Director.
A Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Mr. Ruttencutter earned a BS in Accounting from Biola University in La Mirada, California, and an MBA from California State University, Long Beach. As an authority on financial management, he has served as a conference speaker and has published articles and editorial comments in Financial Executive magazine, the Orange County Business Journal and The Orange County Register. |
