I am looking for a multi-user (maximum of 10 users) accounting software package that will allow for multi-currency transactions (foreign-exchange conversions) and that has a consolidation feature allowing for the issuance of consolidated and consolidating statements.
We are a small licensing company with operations in Europe and Latin America. We have a simple business with no need for an ERP solution, cost accounting modules, and so on. Quick Books has worked well, except that it does not allow for foreign-exchange transactions.
Can anyone recommend a basic accounting software package that has a few advanced features? Great Plains, Peachtree, and the like are in the ballpark but not ideal. Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You might try Microsoft Dynamics (GP), AKA Great Plains. It has a multicurrency feature, and the consolidations could be done through the FrX reporting module.
