On Jul. 29, 2009, FEI’s Committee on Benefits Finance (CBF) joined 36 other groups representing a number of industries on a letter asking that Congress immediately address the need for pension funding relief. Specifically, the letter states that the current economic crisis requires the crafting of more legislation to protect retirement security by easing cash-flow constraints and making contributions more manageable and predictable.
