On Sept. 9, 2010, FEI's Committee on Private Company Policy joined 30 other organizations in raising awareness of the impacts individual tax rate increases on privately held business. The letter states, "with unemployment near 10 percent, subjecting employers accounting for such a large portion of the workforce with a substantial tax hike is risky and harmful to the recovery. "
