chapter information

Welcome to the San Diego Chapter web site. Today's financial executive faces new challenges, more responsibilities and must work smarter with fewer resources. San Diego's FEI is here to help provide resources that enable Members and their employers to prosper and excel in this world of change. Our Chapter's mission is to be the premier organization for financial executives in the San Diego area. The Chapter promotes the fellowship and interaction among its members and has active programs to enhance their professional knowledge and qualifications. We endeavor to represent the interests of the financial community in state and local government issues and support the national organization in its role as the leading advocate for corporate financial management.

Each SDFEI chapter program is financed by the local dues remitted by the chapter members. Your annual SDFEI dues investment covers the cost of meals, banquet wine, parking, audio-visual equipment and all hotel fees.

None of your National FEI dues are applied to any chapter dinners, or to the cost of your newsletter, the members’ directory or other costs of providing benefits and services for you at the chapter level. Your chapter aims to keep members from reaching into their pockets for anything at a meeting, except for drinks they wish to consume at the pre-dinner reception. If all these items were priced separately, the cost to each member would be in excess of $500. So the price of SDFEI membership can be considered a bargain. SDFEI membership doesn’t cost; it pays! Chapter membership investment fees are as follows: Active: $250; Academic: $150; Entrepreneur: $250; Career In Transition: $150; Retired: $150. Meetings are free to members and prospective members, and most offer CPE credits for interested attendees.
