Jazmin Gamboa

Jazmin Gamboa is a Professional Accounting Fellow at FEI where she is responsible for the accounting policy actions including overseeing advocacy, research, education and thought leadership in support of FEI’s network of senior-level financial executive members.  As part of this role, Ms. Gamboa liaises with the Chief Accounting Officers and Controllers that comprise FEI’s Committee on Corporate Reporting.  She also interfaces with other FEI technical committees and participates in various collaboration outlets of FEI. ​

Prior to her current role, she worked for EY in the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice in Los Angeles, CA. Ms. Gamboa joins FEI from EY where she was previously a senior manager in the Financial Accounting Advisory Group (FAAS).  She joined EY and FAAS in 2013 as a senior, with three years of prior audit experience. During her time at EY, she has advised clients on numerous accounting and financial reporting matters, and was a member of the FAAS National Transaction practice, where she led engagements assisting clients with large ($10B+) transactions.  She has advised clients on complex accounting matters, policies and procedures, IPOs, SPACs, debt offerings, purchase accounting, convergence of accounting policies, business combination controls, consolidation matters, as well as compliance with SEC financial reporting requirements for US domestic and foreign private issuers.  She has also assisted clients with the implementation ASC 606, which included the development of new accounting policies and processes.  Ms. Gamboa is a licensed CPA in California, and holds a BA in Business Economics with an Accounting Emphasis from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  She is a member of ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals for America) and has served on the board of the Los Angeles Chapter
