Mr. Conway is a retired KPMG audit partner and former leader of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s (“PCAOB”) Los Angeles and Orange County Offices. He currently serves as an expert witness in adversarial proceedings involving financial reporting, public company auditing, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. He recently published a book titled The Truth About Public Accounting – Understanding and Managing the Risks the Auditors Bring to the Audit. Mr. Conway has been a strong advocate of reforms to improve the reliability of financial reporting and the effectiveness of audit committees in his published recommendations to the U.S. Treasury Department’s Advisory Committee on the Auditing Profession, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the PCAOB; all of which can be viewed by selecting the “Published Papers” tab at www.TheTruthAboutPublicAccounting.com.
Mr. Conway holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
