Marcus is a state and local tax principal in CliftonLarsonAllen’s Albuquerque office.
He has over 26 years of public and private experience. Prior to joining CliftonLarsonAllen, Marcus worked for a Big 4 and a national accounting firm where he served as both firms’ New Mexico State and Local Tax Practice leader. Marcus has developed technical expertise and experience with multi-state tax. Marcus also worked in industry for several healthcare entities and in state government.
Marcus holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from New Mexico State University and is a certified public accountant. Marcus is very active in the community. He is currently a board member of the Albuquerque Community Foundation, Economic Forum, New Mexico First and the New Mexico Tax Research Institute. He has served on the boards of the UNM Anderson School Foundation, the National Atomic Museum Foundation and Meals on Wheels. Marcus is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants (NMSCPA).
