Derek Gillespie is an Audit & Assurance partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP in the Accounting & Reporting Advisory (ARA) practice. Within ARA, he leads the Acquisitions and Divestitures service offering and is a leader of the national Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) team. In those roles, Mr. Gillespie serves clients by advising on the application of complex accounting and reporting matters. Previously, he was a Professional Accounting Fellow in the SEC’s Office of the Chief Accountant and also spent several years in Deloitte’s National Office Accounting and Reporting Services group.
