Dave provides financial leadership to companies’ executive teams and their boards. Dave is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Arundel Federal Savings Bank, a position he has held since 2015. He stepped down as President & Chief Executive Officer of the Bank in January 2020, having served in that role since 2015. He joined the Bank in 2012 as Chief Operating Officer. While he was CEO, Dave focused on performance improvement, growing the loan portfolio, diversified into commercial real estate lending, increased the use of technology to compete and serve customers, improved relations with regulators and implemented network marketing strategies to attract new business. Prior to joining Arundel Federal Dave held executive positions in finance and accounting as the Chief Financial Officer with Securityplus Federal Credit Union, Bradford Bank, Maryland Permanent Bank, and Carrollton Bank. He also served as the Corporate Controller at Bank of Baltimore.
Dave spent the 10 years of his career as an audit executive with Ernst & Young serving clients in a variety of industries. Dave served on the Board of Roland Park Place, a 260 unit 501(c)(3) Continuing Care Retirement Community in the city of Baltimore from 2006 to 2013, the last two years as Chair. While on this board he served as the Finance/Investment/Executive Committee Chair and served as well on the Strategic Planning and the Nominating Committees.
Dave is a long time and active Board member of Financial Executives International, an organization of senior financial executives, and has held various leadership positions in the Baltimore Chapter, including President of the Chapter in 2003. In 2019 Dave served on the Board of the Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce. Dave has an M.A. in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore and a B.S. in Accounting from Florida State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
