Eric Taylor

Eric is responsible for ensuring that Wilmington Trust’s investment thinking is implemented in client portfolios. He has management responsibilities for investment planning, account management and compliance, the trading of client portfolios and investment products. He oversees the investment activities of more than 70 investment advisors.

Eric is the President and a member of the Board of Directors for the Wilmington Funds, a $14 billion mutual fund complex with ten different funds across many asset classes.  He is also on the Board of Directors for three Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), Wilmington Trust Investment Advisors, Wilmington Funds Management Corporation and Wilmington Trust Investment Management.  He serves on the firm’s Investment Committee and the Portfolio Management Committee. He is also a member of the Investment Product & Services Committee that oversees the firm’s product offering.

Prior to joining M&T Bank, which acquired Wilmington Trust in 2011, Eric served as a trust officer at Tompkins Trust Company in Ithaca, New York, where he managed trust client relationships and also had responsibilities related to the company’s asset allocation decisions and U.S. equity portfolio.

Eric holds an MBA from The Johnson School of Management at Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in policy analysis and management from Cornell University. He is a CFA® charterholder.
