Daven Morrison, M.D.

After completing his training as a psychiatrist in 1996, Daven Morrison began his professional career as a full-time consultant at Morrison Associates’ Ltd. He has now taken on the role of CEO for the firm. The organization has assessed more than 1,500 leaders and consulted to Accenture, Andersen, Bank of America, Baker‐Hughes, BP, Conseco, EY, Food Lion, Motorola, Northern Trust, Schneider Intl., Unilever, and others.

 

He developed a shared suite of educational programs which have been integrated into a management course, The Midwest Leadership Institute, in which topics such as judgment, teams, power, feedback, and self‐awareness are examined in depth. His work on judgment has been used in an adapted method for Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

 

Daven is an active member of the following professional groups: past President of the Academy of Organizational and Occupational Psychiatry; the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry–Committee on Work & Organizations; Institute for Fraud Prevention; Tomkins Institute of Applied Studies of Motivation, Emotion and Cognition. He collaborates on fraud with the Behavioral Forensics Group where he and the team maintain a blog on the behavioral forensics of fraud. Daven is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Chicago Medical School, Rosalyn Franklin University.
