Amie Thuener is VP, Chief Accountant for Alphabet. In this role, she leads Alphabet’s corporate controllership including consolidation and governance, SEC Reporting and Global Accounting Policy, M&A Finance, and SOX and controls. Additionally, Thuener leads the Finance teams for several Alphabet companies, including Verily, GV, CapitalG, Waymo, and DeepMind.
Prior to Google, Thuener was a Managing Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers. Over the course of her 16 year tenure with PwC, she worked in the audit practice in San Francisco, the National Office accounting and consulting group, and Transaction Services practice in New York and San Jose. Thuener was a Practice Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board from 2004 to 2006.
