Jon Tkach is a Director in Barclays’ Risk Solutions Group and is responsible for advising multinational corporations on the development of interest rate and foreign exchange hedging strategies and the related accounting for such strategies.He also advises clients on financing transactions and mergers/acquisitions activities.
Immediately prior to joining Barclays, Tkach spent two years working in the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System’s Division of Banking Supervision & Regulation where he developed accounting and risk policies and other supervisory guidance applicable to U.S. banking organizations supervised by the Federal Reserve System and also served as accounting subject-matter advisor to cross-functional rule-making/policy development teams within the Federal Reserve for a host of new regulations related to the Dodd-Frank Act.
Prior to joining the Federal Reserve, Tkach was a senior manager at Ernst & Young LLP where, among other things, he served as firm-wide subject matter specialist serving both audit and non-audit clients in North America as well as internationally for accounting issues pertaining to debt and equity financings, derivatives and hedging, and financial asset securitization and securities financing.
