Robert Royall

Rob Royall leads EY’s Derivatives and Financial Instruments team in the Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice (FAAS) from the New York City office. He also manages the Technical Accounting Advisory Group within that practice. Royall has 32 years’ experience, including 14 as primary derivatives accounting resource and three as primary foreign currency accounting resource with the firm’s Professional Practice Group. That experience began in the financial services industry and eventually covered all major industry sectors and every type of financial risk, from commodity price risk to foreign exchange risk to interest rate risk. Throughout his career, Royall has served audit clients in the banking, insurance, investment company and consumer lending sectors.

As both a Chartered Financial Analyst and a CPA, Royall has worked with clients to understand and define their risk exposures, and then to evaluate the pros and cons of various strategic solutions involving derivatives. He holds an MBA from Jones Graduate School of Business, Rice University and is a licensed CPA in the States of Texas and New York.
