As a 9-time Indianapolis 500 starter, the most by a woman, Sarah Fisher holds many records. These records include the first woman to win the pole position for a major North American open-wheel event, the fastest woman to ever qualify for the Indianapolis 500 and the current track record holder at Kentucky Speedway. Fisher was an INDYCAR team owner for eight years, another first by a woman. She was awarded "Indy's Best and Brightest Leaders Under 40," and voted "Most Popular Driver" four times in two separate series -- INDYCAR and Nascar. She has served on the boards of the National Women's Business Council and currently the 500 Festival. Her newest venture is as a small business entrepreneur with Indiana-based Karting Facilities Whiteland Raceway Park and Speedway Indoor Karting as well as the attached 1911 Grill Restaurant. Fisher and her husband, Andy, live on the southside of Indianapolis with their two children Zoey (8) and Danny (5).
