Diego Baca is a senior manager in the Assurance practice in EY’s Denver office. He has worked on a variety of clients in various industries including asset management, technology, health insurance, energy, media and entertainment, manufacturing, consumer products/retail, employee benefit plans and others.
His eleven years at EY include experience in serving clients of varying sizes, from small startups, not-for-profits, and private equity backed entities to large, multinational US publicly traded companies. Throughout this time, Mr. Baca has gained extensive experience in SEC reporting requirements, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 reporting requirements and other public company reporting requirements.
His passions include a focus on educational access and mentoring, both within EY and within the community. He led the Denver and Southwest regional program for EY College MAP (Mentoring for Access and Persistence) for several years and is active in various non-profit Boards throughout the Denver community, including serving as Treasurer of the University of Colorado Latino Alumni Association and President of the Colorado Society of CPAs Educational Foundation Board of Trustees.
He is also committee to the accounting profession and is a former member of the Board of Directors for the ALPFA Denver Chapter and a former Board member of the AICPA’s CPA Board of Examiners, the Board that oversees the CPA examination’s development and content.
