Mr. Herschel Frierson

Herschel Frierson is a Managing Director with Crowe LLP with over 22 years of experience and is a registered Municipal Advisor. He provides governmental consulting and general consulting. His work involves the analysis of cash flows for various governmental units in preparation for proposed financings, revenue studies, and tax impact studies. He has assisted communities with municipal bond issues, short- and long-term financial planning capital improvement plans and budget consulting. He also provides assistance in economic development activities including feasibility studies, financing activities for tax increment, and other incentive programs and annexation analysis. Mr. Frierson is the current National Chair for the National Association of Black Accountants.  He also served as the African American Lead for the Business Resource Group at Crowe. He has been involved with Big Brothers of Indianapolis, Center for Leadership Development, Academy of Finance, 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee Member, NFL Community Impact, served on the board of the Indianapolis Black Chamber, and is a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. Previously, Mr. Frierson served as a National Director where he served as OEP Chair and Co-Chair of the Membership Committee, was the Central Region President and oversaw the Central Region Student Conference, and served as the chairman of the Audit Committee. He also served as the chairman of the National Ethics Committee, secretary to the Central Region, in various capacities for the Central Region Student Conference and as Indianapolis Chapter President. In 2018, Mr. Frierson received the Frank Ross Outstanding Membership Award.
