Steve Anderson is a senior vice president with Marsh Risk Consulting, where he is responsible for business development and relationship management. Steve works closely with Marsh clients to gain an understanding of their objectives for workforce strategies, property & asset protection, liability, natural hazard, claims consulting and strategic risk. Industry focal points include real estate, hospitality, acute healthcare, technology and aviation.
Prior to joining Marsh, Steve worked in a Health, Safety & Environment management position for a Swiss-based pharmaceutical and medical device company. He then joined a global property and casualty insurer based in Zurich, where he spent 20 years in a variety of technical and management roles in the company’s Risk Engineering group.
Steve has substantial experience in risk management, health & safety, asset protection and analytics. Steve is also versed in ISO-related standards for system safety management and business continuity. His early career as a paramedic in Los Angeles sparked his interest in prevention and subsequently safety engineering.
Steve holds degrees from the University of Hawaii and California State University and is a member of the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, American Society of Safety Professionals, Society of Fire Protection Engineers and the Risk and Insurance Management Society.
