Earl Stone has served large, complex energy clients for most of his 21-year career. He has strong experience in natural gas transmission, storage, gathering, and processing; distribution; crude oil transmission pipelines; and liquefied natural gas operations. He has extensive knowledge regarding public company reporting and disclosures, which he has utilized to assist clients with public and private debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, and internal control reviews.
In addition to his client service leadership roles, Earl serves as the engagement quality control review partner for various entities, independently confirming the performance of quality audits by engagement teams. He also has been involved in furthering Deloitte’s quality initiatives through serving as a coach for PCAOB oil and gas engagements.
Earl is the Chief Talent Officer for Deloitte’s Audit and Assurance business, and in this role oversees talent initiatives for thousands of professionals. He also is the lead audit recruiting partner for Oklahoma State University.
Earl’s background serving oil and gas and other energy clients, coupled with his strong technical knowledge and leadership roles, makes him a valuable resource for audit committees and members of executive management throughout the audit.
