Scott Palka

Scott brings over 30 years financial, accounting, and operational leadership in key strategic project design, implementation and execution. Focus areas for him include software integration and implementation, accounting system design, development of budgets and forecasts, logistics, operational planning, and process improvements. Manage audits, SEC filings, financial partner relationships, and underwriting on behalf of clients. Scott brings a proven track record in delivering bottom line results. Experienced in multinational finance with a heavy emphasis on operations, manufacturing and logistics, business and system integration, high growth and tight liquidity situations.
 
As a Partner and Consulting CFO with PBO Advisory Group (“PBO”) Scott is responsible for the firm’s quality assurance program, technical accounting client requests, and director of PBO’s ProjectBased Consulting & Advisory service area. Prior to joining PBO he has served as a finance executive for both public and private companies ranging from $15M to $1B in revenue. During his tenure Scott was responsible for several turn-around projects along with numerous M&A support projects both internationally and domestic. Scott has over ten years consulting in the Big 4 where he specialized in leading engagements that required creative and time sensitive application of economics, finance, statistics, and accounting to a wide variety of critical, high value business situations. Projects included expert witness evaluation and testimony, forensic work, business and system integration, reorganization consulting (formal and informal), economic evaluations relating to mergers, divestitures, straight investments, debtor and creditor representation, and transactional analysis.
 
Cost accounting and analysis projects included process improvement, project management, system implementation assistance, ERP/MRP strategic consultation, and intellectual property rights enforcement and verification. Scott received his MBA with a focus in Finance from the University of Denver as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois.
