Bill Reissfelder
Bill Reissfelder is currently in his 27th season with the Boston Celtics, having served as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer since 2003. In this role, he is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the Celtics and its related properties, including accounting and financial reporting, forecasting and financial planning, tax strategy and preparation, treasury management, and NBA financial matters. Additionally, Bill works closely with Celtics basketball operations on matters related to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, salary cap management and player contracts, and also oversees the Celtics’ information technology, human resources, legal, and risk management functions, as well as certain aspects of arena and practice facility operations.
Prior to being named Chief Financial Officer, Bill served as Vice President and Controller since joining the organization in 1996. Prior to joining the Celtics, Bill served as the Financial Controller for Open Environment Corporation from 1994 to 1996, and spent nine years (1985-1994) at Ernst & Young,
LLP, most recently as a Senior Manager in Entrepreneurial Services. Bill also serves as the Treasurer of the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, is a member of the Steering Committee of Boston Celtics United for Social Justice, and is active in non-profit fundraising activities on behalf of the Shamrock Foundation and its community partners. A native and current resident of Westwood, MA, Bill is a CPA and a graduate of Babson College.
