Joyce Li, CFA, is the CEO of Averanda Partners, where she advises business leaders at the intersection of AI, finance, and governance. Joyce brings decades of expertise in investing multi-billion dollars in growth companies and advising leaders and boards on corporate governance matters. She co-founded an AI startup and serves on the advisory boards of OpenBB and Minewell. Joyce previously served as President of the CFA Society San Francisco board and as a director on several other nonprofit boards.
Recognized as a “Top AI Voice” on LinkedIn, Joyce co-authored the Athena Alliance AI Governance Playbook and created the "AI Simplified for Leaders" newsletter, providing valuable insights to leaders navigating the complexities of AI strategy and oversight. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School, where she was honored as a Palmer Scholar, and a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Virginia.
