Ms. Charmaine Detweiler

Ms. Detweiler has over 35 years of financial management experience.  She began her career with Citicorp (now Citigroup) as a financial analyst in the Consumer Banking Group.  In 1982 she was promoted to Director of Business Development for Citicorp Student Loan Services.  From 1984 through 1994 Ms. Detweiler took on increasing responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer for several Citigroup banking entities in New York and California/Arizona/Nevada.
 
Upon leaving Citigroup in 1994 Ms. Detweiler took a position as Chief Financial Officer of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP a 500+ attorney international law firm founded in San Francisco, California. 
 
From 1999 through 2008 Ms. Detweiler provided senior level consulting services for companies in the financial services, consumer goods manufacturing, transportation, higher education and professional services industries.  Through these consulting assignments she counseled CEOs and Boards on business strategy and talent development and served as interim Chief Financial Officer.  In 2006 she joined a group organizing OneCalifornia Bank (now Beneficial State Bank), a community development bank based in Oakland, California, and served as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
 
In November 2008 Ms. Detweiler joined New Resource Bank, an innovative community bank servicing the sustainable and green business community, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  She retired from this position in August 2013.
 
Ms. Detweiler is currently a Director of the United Way Bay Area and is Chair of its Finance Committee.  In 2016 she became founding Chair of the Women’s Leadership Council for Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, a non-profit that works to break the cycle of poverty by helping English- and Spanish-speaking women and men achieve economic mobility, build assets, and create better futures for themselves and their families through small business ownership.  She also serves on the Finance Committee of LeaderSpring, a Bay Area non-profit providing leadership programs for the executive leadership of Bay Area community organizations.  She is pursuing non-executive board member positions in companies and non-profits (youth, women’s empowerment, microfinance).
 
Ms. Detweiler has served on the board of Garth Fagan Dance.  She is a member of Financial Executives International (SF Bay Area Chapter past-President, Western Area Director 2010-2012).  She has served as panel moderator for Robert Half International’s CFO Roundtable and as nominating committee member for Bay Area CFO of the Year benefiting Larkin Street Youth Services.  In 2011 Ms. Detweiler was honored as one of the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business.  In 2013 Ms. Detweiler was honored as a finalist, Bay Area CFO of the Year (pubic companies less than $500 million).  Ms. Detweiler graduated from Smith College with an AB with Distinction in Economics, and subsequently earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
