Matt Johanson leads Discover’s internal HR consulting, Talent Management, Professional & Leadership Development, and Diversity & Inclusion. In 20+ years at Discover, Matt has held leadership roles across Information Technology and Discover’s global Payments business, and most recently led Discover’s efforts to implement a Lean Management System and build a culture of continuous improvement to drive differentiated business results. He is a graduate of Illinois State University where he and his wife have established the Matt & Sue Johanson Diversity in Technology endowment, and he holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Matt also serves on the Board of Directors of Little Friends, a Chicagoland non-profit organization serving children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.
