Industry Experience
Mike has been instrumental in the continued development of Hylant’s operations in southeast Michigan. He is currently responsible for the Employee Benefits practice in that region, leading sales and the servicing of over 500 employer clients. Mike is also part of Hylant’s Southeast Michigan Executive Leadership team and Hylant’s Employee Benefits Executive Committee.
Prior to his current position at Hylant, he was President of AGIS’s Michigan Agency operations and coordinated regional expansion initiatives for more than 10 years, including those in Indianapolis, Tampa and Jacksonville.

His clients have included Lear Corporation, Detroit Medical Center, and Chrysler Corporation.
Industry Associations
Mike has been a featured speaker and guest columnist for a number of professional association events and publications, covering topics such as ERISA compliance and healthcare reform. He has served as a Life, Accident and Health continuing education instructor in southeast Michigan and continues to serve the industry in a variety of advisory board capacities, including the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Statewide Advisory Board and the Guardian Life Insurance Company National Broker Council.
Education and Accreditations
Mike attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where he majored in literature.
