Ellen E. Hoeppner

Ellen E. Hoeppner is a Member with the Labor & Employment Practice Group at Clark Hill PLC.
 
Ellen represents employers in all aspects of employment law. She is an experienced litigator, and regularly defends employers in state and federal lawsuits and administrative proceedings against discrimination, harassment, retaliatory discharge, and wage and hour claims.
 
Ellen believes the best defense is a good offense. Accordingly, she partners with employers on a wide spectrum of matters, from drafting employment agreements and policies to managing tricky leave of absence, accommodation, and disciplinary issues. Ellen is also sought-after corporate trainer, frequently presenting on matters involving EEO compliance, preventing harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in the workplace, and effective techniques for managing within the law.
 
Active in the legal community, Ellen is a Past President of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, Wayne Region, and as a member of the State Bar of Michigan Labor & Employment Law Section. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Accounting Aid Society and is a member of The United Way Emerging Philanthropists.
 
Ellen is routinely recognized as one of the top employment law attorneys in the state, receiving recognition as a rising star for labor and employment defense for the past six years. She was also named in the Michigan Lawyers Weekly Up and Coming Lawyers Class of 2016, which recognizes a limited number of stand-out legal practitioners across the state of Michigan.
