Glenn Richards, CPA joined the firm in 2002. His experience includes audits of financial statements of companies reporting under U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in the manufacturing, distribution, and service industries, ranging in size from $20 million to $1 billion in annual revenue. Richards serves as co-leader of the firm’s revenue recognition implementation task force and has led projects assisting clients in implementation of the new revenue recognition rules (under U.S. GAAP and IFRS).
Richards also has experience leading projects converting financial statements from U.S. GAAP to IFRS. His clients include private and public (listed) companies on the NASDAQ, NYSE, TSX, and AIM. His typical clients are organizations with operations throughout the world. Richards also has experience in Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 compliance projects, including work with clients on their initial conformity to Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 rules, and audits of internal control over financial reporting. He serves on our firm’s Internal Inspection team and as a subject matter expert on IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISA) on behalf of the firm. In connection with that role, in 2009, Richards assisted the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in writing IFRS examination questions for the national Uniform Certified Public Accountant Exam.
