J. Craig Flowers


Colonel (retired) J. Craig Flowers is a native Texan originally from San Antonio. His more than 25 years in the US Army encompassed a decade overseas, including three years in North Africa and ten years in direct support of the special operations community. His final military assignment was at West Point where he served as senior staff officer, Director of Cadet Affairs and Assistant Baseball Coach.
 
Craig currently works as a consultant for Horizon Performance assisting in the assessment, selection and development of NASA astronauts, special operators and elite NCAA athletics programs. He is also the Founder of The Sideline Leadership Company, which works with Coaches and Corporations on Character, Culture and Leadership Development. He has worked with numerous high school athletics programs throughout Texas. Additionally, he has presented to many parent groups around the state of Texas, in Connecticut and in Colorado on developmental and communication techniques to best reach and teach today’s generation of student-athletes as they progress through the challenges of high school years.
 
He is often heard on FM 104.9 ‘The Horn’ as a guest co-host for the “B&E Show”; Austin’s most listened to sports talk show.  He has his own radio show “Zero 900”, Saturday’s 9-10 am streamed online at HornFM.com.  Craig attended Texas Christian University earning a degree in Economics while playing baseball for the Horned Frogs. He holds a M.A. from Kansas University.
