Anastasia Economos

Anastasia Economos is a partner within Ernst & Young LLP’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice where she advises global organizations on the impact of regulatory and transformational change on the accounting and financial reporting function and related systems and processes.
In her role as the Americas Accounting Change Leader for Leases, Anastasia coordinates Advisory, Assurance and Tax partners and professionals, in the development of innovative services to assist companies in the adoption of and ongoing reporting under the new leases standards.
She also leads knowledge sharing initiatives across a network of partners serving retail and consumer products clients with a focus on addressing finance function issues resulting from regulatory changes, transactions (acquisitions, IPOs, spin-offs), and other organizational changes. She is experienced in working with both IFRS and US/SEC reporting requirements as the clients she serves have extensive global footprints.
From 2003 to 2007 she served as the Northeast Area Control and Methodology Leader. In this role, she led the implementation efforts of the region surrounding Sarbanes Oxley. She subsequently provided the “audit lens” on control transformation projects. She’s also served as the Retail Consumer Products leader for the Northeast.
Anastasia is a CPA and a member of the AICPA. She received her BS in Accounting and MBA in Finance from New York University. She is a member of the Cosmetic Executive Women board of governors.
