Peter Thimm

Peter has extensive experience designing and implementing integrated solutions to address technology and operational challenges across industries. He has experience across the systems development lifecycle with a variety of ERP and point solutions and their application across the value chain. Peter has supported clients in improving the value recognized from technology investments through the development of tailored solutions which focus on process outcomes enabled by improvements in process design, system configuration, integrations, partner enablement, data management, organizational alignment, and performance management programs.

Peter is currently playing a leading role in the ongoing development of KPMG’s Revenue Recognition technology enablement and program management capabilities and has been serving multiple clients across industries in developing revenue recognition solutions.  Recent client experiences include:
Led multiple revenue recognition process and technology impact assessments for clients in automotive, industrial manufacturing, insurance, and software development industries including complex global organizations with highly distributed business models and fragmented systems landscapes
Led revenue recognition process, technology, and policy design phases for multiple clients
Currently leading the implementation of multiple revenue recognition programs with a focus on system enhancements (including SAP RAR implementation and changes to existing source systems), business and accounting process changes, and accounting policy updates
Led the standup of a revenue recognition PMO for a telecom provider implementing a revenue recognition software package requiring integration of multiple internal source systems and third party data
