Michelle DeBella

Michelle DeBella was named Uber’s Global Head of Internal Audit in September 2017.She was previously VP of Internal Audit for Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) where she led global teams focused on risk, compliance and process improvement.Prior to her role as Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s chief audit executive, DeBella was VP of Enterprise Financial Reporting for Hewlett-Packard Company, responsible for global internal and external reporting, accounting policies and practices, and corporate accounting.She joined HP from Ernst and Young, where she had a 15+ year career as a Senior Manager, working in a variety of industries and offices around the U.S. and Germany.


In addition to her professional duties, she serves as a Finance representative to Uber's Cutlture & Leadership team, served on HPE’s Global Diversity and Inclusion board, created the Finance Women’s Leadership program, supported a number of career development programs as the executive sponsor, and has served as a panelist and speaker for a number of national and international professional organizations and conferences.


DeBella is a CPA and a graduate of Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Management, and a Masters in Accountancy.She is a member of Advancing Women Executives, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Financial Executives Institute (FEI), and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).DeBella also serves on the Board of Governors for the San Jose Chapter of the IIA.
