Bill Kowalski

Bill manages complex fraud investigations for public and private sector entities with a focus on Michigan and Ohio. Bill’s investigations of financial misappropriation have resulted in numerous successful prosecutions, from CEOs to school superintendents. He has been retained to advise key state agencies in fraud prevention strategies.
Bill also leads our background, fire investigation and digital forensics divisions, providing a suite of professional investigative tools to help clients identify and prosecute fraud. He is a frequent guest speaker at seminars and conferences educating about fraud prevention and the threat and cost of cybercrime.

EXPERIENCE
Bill began his investigative career in 1983 with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). During his 25-year tenure with the FBI he served in the Detroit, Memphis, New York City, Flint, and Washington, D.C. offices. Bill was most recently the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the FBI office in Detroit with oversight responsibility for counter-terrorism and counterintelligence operations throughout Michigan.
