Bill Fasel

Bill Fasel is a Managing Director in the Advisory Services practice in Chicago. Specifically within the Strategic Solutions team, he specializes in delivering turnaround and operational improvement and distressed transaction advisory services.
 
Bill has more than 25 years of advisory experience assisting multinational and middle-market clients with corporate restructuring, business transformation, corporate finance and strategic planning matters. Bill has provided a range of business advisory and M&A services to companies, debtors, lenders, unsecured creditors and private equity firms. Specifically, he has advised on business plan and corporate strategy development, turnaround initiatives, crisis management, capital structure advisory and facilitated numerous merger and acquisition transactions (both in and out-of-court).
 
Bill has served public and private companies across a variety of industries including manufacturing, automotive, consumer products, retail, transportation, oil & gas and financial services.
 
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Bill held leadership roles with several professional services firms, including PwC’s Business Restructuring Services practice, Deloitte’s Corporate Restructuring Group, Mesirow Financial Consulting and Huron Consulting Group. Bill also held corporate development and strategic planning roles with Campbell Soup Company and Aon Corporation and worked in the M&A practice of Lehman Brothers.
