Aaron Anderson

Aaron Anderson is the Chief Accounting Officer for PayPal Holdings, Inc. As a Section 16 Officer for PayPal, Mr. Anderson is responsible for External Financial Reporting, Accounting Operations, Financial Shared Services, Financial Systems, Finance M&A, Finance Risk and Global Payroll. Prior to being named Chief Accounting Officer of PayPal, Mr. Anderson was the controller of the eBay, Inc. payments segment leading up to the PayPal Initial Public Offering. Before joining eBay, Inc., Mr. Anderson was Assistant Controller at MasterCard and Director of IFRS Policy and Implementation at IBM. 

 

Aaron has been active in his profession, previously serving on the AICPA’s FinRec committee, an alternate to FEI’s Committee on Corporate Reporting, and the IFRS Foundation’s XBRL Advisory Committee. Mr. Anderson has presented at numerous conferences, including the AICPA/IASB conference, Audit Firm CFO conferences, FEI’s Current Financial Reporting Issues conference and more. 

 

Prior to joining IBM, Mr. Anderson was a Senior Manager with Deloitte having worked in practice offices, U.S. National Office and the IFRS Global Office based in London. While in London, Mr. Anderson authored several publications, including the first edition of “A Guide to Applying IFRS 2, Share-based Payment and was the primary editor of Deloitte’s first technical accounting manual on IFRSMr. Anderson also spent one year as a post graduate technical assistant at the Financial Accounting Standards Board. 

 

Mr. Anderson received a Masters in Accounting and Bachelors in Economics from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Nebraska and Connecticut and is a member of Financial Executives International.
