Josh Paul

Josh Paul is the Director, Technical Accounting with Google. Previously he was a client service partner in PwC’s Technology industry sector based in San Jose. Mr. Paul’s client focus has included semiconductor, networking, telecommunications, and software clients. He has provided Assurance services to early stage companies to large multinational corporations. His global client service has included international coordination with engagement teams in Asia and Europe. Mr. Paul was previously in PwC’s National Accounting Services group. In this role, Josh provided assistance to clients on their most complex accounting matters, particularly in the areas of revenue recognition, stock compensation, business combinations, restructurings, and impairments. Additionally, he spent considerable time developing thought leadership to apprise clients, directors and professionals of developments in financial reporting, regulatory and accounting standards. Mr. Paul was a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In this role, he worked with registrants on complex accounting and reporting matters, monitored the activities of various professional accounting standard setting bodies both within the United States and internationally, and worked on various regulatory matters facing U.S. capital markets.  He is a graduate of the University of San Diego and a Certified Public Accountant in California.
