Brian Foster

Brian Foster is the partner in charge of KPMG’s Emerging Audit Solutions group responsible for overseeing the ideation, research, and development of new audit technologies within the US firm. Brian’s responsibilities encompass the innovation behind new audit technologies, the quality controls associated with the deployment of new audit capabilities, as well as working directly with KPMG’s U.S. Department of Professional Practice to develop methodology and guidance for the use of the new and emerging audit capabilities in the field.

 

In 2015 and 2016, Mr. Foster completed a two year secondment with KPMG’s Global Data & Analytics group in the New York metro area. In this role, he worked with the global audit practice’s top innovative leaders in the design, development, and deployment of the firm’s most innovative audit solutions. Additionally, Mr. Foster was the point person for the Global Data & Analytics group with the U.S. Department of Professional Practice as well as the global firm’s International Standards Group in developing methodology and guidance for engagement teams utilizing the newest audit technology solutions.

 

From 2007 through 2014, Mr. Foster was the partner in charge of KPMG Cincinnati’s audit practice. He served numerous clients in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana including restaurant, manufacturing, distribution, retailing, and financial and professional services companies, many with multinational operations. Mr. Foster has over 20 years of experience serving private and SEC registrant clients and has 7+ years of experience in serving clients in a variety of industries reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards.
